Aeolus held an opening ceremony for its 100th service shop, where it announced its “Love driving” passenger car service, on Dec 7, meaning more professional maintenance and another sign of Aeolus’s involvement in the after-sales service market.
On hand for the ceremony was Wang Feng, Aeolus chairman, who explained, “Service is a new area where Aeolus can expand its market and it will open more than 1,000 service shops across the country over the next five years.” So, this new shop is an important symbol of Aeolus’s work to establish its passenger car service name.
The focus of these “Love driving” shops is mainly on tires, and the shop brand will have one-stop services to save time on maintenance work and bring down costs.
The shops have a cozy rest area and are supported by first-class car diagnosis equipment for maintenance needs, and Aeolus will bring in more resources and develop specialty products to meet all needs.
The company has established standards for all its shops across the country and will have special training for employees to ensure quality. It will be using a CRM system to keep a record of customer service work to make diagnoses more accurate and it will send supervisors around regularly to check on shop operations and ask customers for their opinions on improving services for increased satisfaction and customer loyalty.
Aeolus passenger car tires show how Aeolus is making inroads into a new area, according to a marketing department head. Although it’s only in recent years that Aeolus began developing passenger car tires, it has not affected product quality, because we demand quality and green development, as well as low-carbon output and oil conservation with our high-performance passenger car tires.”
The company’s green passenger car tire appeared in June 2012 and was given a B-grade rating in the EU for rolling resistance and wet-gripping, the highest level for a Chinese product of this kind. It now has a green tire capacity of 5 million units, which is expected to hit 15 million by 2015. In Oct 2013, Aeolus was chosen as the China Grand Rally’s only official tire partner, thanks to its quality, performance, and low–carbon output.
Aeolus will continue to focus on strategic service branding and innovation, similar to foreign service brands, such as Michelin’s Tyreplus and Continental’s BestDrive, an area that Chinese manufacturers have rarely dabbled with. So, the “Love driving”shops are in fact blazing a trail for the domestic tire service business. The “Love driving” brand will also help Aeolus with its development and competition in the global tire market.
Aeolus is one of China’s major independent-brand tire manufacturers and one of the Top 20 worldwide. It was China’s first tire company to be exempt from customs examinations and is one of the most trusted companies according to the General Administration of Customs, and the first company in the world with 100-percent green manufacturing for its passenger tires. Its all-steel radials for trucks are a very popular brand in Europe and Aeolus is the top supplier for the Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co, a major medium–to-heavy truck supplier. It is also China’s only resource-conserving, environmentally friendly tire company and its only tire company to use the Lean Six Sigma method. It is recognized as a quality model in the industry and a quality model in the petroleum and chemical industries and has been one of China’s most valuable brands for 10 years running, with a brand value of 8.75 billion yuan.
